10,030 PointsPython, Data Science, and my educational future
Hi, thanks in advance. This is essentially a career advice question.
Within the 1.5 years I want to re-enter the workforce. Family needs require me to work from home almost exclusively, though I can leave for blocks of time up to a few days, as long as it isn't frequent. In 2012 I got a BS in nursing but didn't work for long.
I completed the SQL track and really enjoyed it, much more than the front-end HTML and CSS stuff I had done previously. I am now on the Beginning Python track and enjoying that also. I think next I'll work on the Data Analysis then Data Science tracks.
Do you think that will set me up to find some free lance work? I could even volunteer on some projects initially to begin a portfolio.
Any advice is really really appreciated.
update: So, for one thing, I did just look at both of those Data Analysis and Science. The analysis one is spreadsheets (got it) and the science one is about 1/3 python, so great!
Still wondering what to do after I get through the Data Science one though.
