Been stumped on this exercise for a while saying there is a ValueError but I can't figure it out?
def add(x, y):
total = float(x) + float(y)
try:
return float(x) + float(y)
except ValueError:
return None
else:
return float(x) + float(y)

8,942 PointsThe first line in your function causes the ValueError. You should either move that line into the try statement or delete it, because you aren't using the variable total anywhere else.
