Purpose of creating constructor that takes no parameters.

I may have missed this, but can someone succinctly explain the reasoning for having a constructor for a class that takes no parameters? I can't wrap my head around the purpose of this.

It depends on the class. There may be a property or field in the class that needs to be initialized, such as a list.
