What are the differences between higher and lower level programming languages

Treehouse TeacherYou can think of higher level programming languages as more human-readable while lower-level languages are closer to machine language. We think of "lower" as being closer to the computer hardware.

254 PointsI always assumed, high level wouldn't touch the O.S, Mid level would touch the O.S and low level touches the hardware but then again what do I know.
