Good day, Sorry for the long post,
I was able to install most of the ruby on rails SW needed, however there 2 problems I am experiencing.
I had problems installing cmder and received an error stating it was not a windows 32 software, however since its optional I can continue with out it, but if anyone knows of an alternative fix I would appreciate it, I check the git hub forums and there seems to be a discussion on this 3-4 months ago but I don't see how to resolve it.
this is the link of the discussion https://github.com/bliker/cmder/issues/96
Regarding the VM machine from tree house, from my cmd window i get "treehouse-rails4" could not be found, attempting to install,
it appears to download it from the site, and then i get the following:
"the box failed to unpackage properly. please verify that the box file you're trying to add is not corrupt and try again. the output from attempting the unpackage (if any).
when visiting the vm website, i see the link for the rails app. can i download it manually and install it manually?
I am currently running windows XP SP3, 32 bit ruby 2.0.0p481
any help would be depreciated,
thank you for your time,

Windows XP came out 12 years ago and last month, was the end of Microsoft support. As such no more security patches will happen for XP so when new vulnerabilities are found no patches will be released for them leaving you defenseless.
