THIS IS QUESTION !!!!

Inside the <section> element, create an unordered list with three blank list items. This will become an image gallery, but don’t fill in the list items just yet. Bummer! Add three empty list items (<li></li>) to the unordered list.

How can I answer this ?

The challenge specifically asks you to do the following:

... create an unordered list with three blank list items ...

At no point does it say to add images (yet). Use this clue and possibly rewatch the video or Google unordered list syntax to correctly answer the question.

Hope this helps. I find it much more effective to steer you in the right direction rather than do the work for you.

If you are simply trying to turn an unordered list (<ul>) into an ordered list - change the <ul> to <ol>

ul = unordered list ol = orderer list

Otherwise if you could please elaborate on your problem.

You should create unordered list with 3 empty items, in you code you made unordered list with 1 item and 3 images.

The question reads: 'Inside section element create an unordered list with three blank list items. This will become an image gallery, but don't fill in the list items just yet'

Meaning:

  • Create an unordered list in the section element which you have done in your code above.

<section> <ul> <li> <img src= alt""> <img src= alt""> <img src= alt""> </li> </ul> </section>

  • However, instead of creating three blank list items, you have created ONLY ONE list item (li) and populated it with three images which is not what the question requires and that's why you are getting 'Bummer! Add three empty list items () to the unordered list.'

To solve this:

  • Create two additional empty list items which is your (li element) so you have three in total
  • Remove the three images from the first list item for now to be able to pass 'Task 1 of 2'
  • In 'Task 2 of 2' you would be asked to add the images to the list items.

NOTE: It is ONLY one image element in each list item.
