Hi guys!
I'm pretty new at this and I'm making a web design that will be programed on Wordpress for a friend of mine, so that it can be auto-manageable by my friend after the design is live.
I'm wondering how I can make things easier for the programer (a beginner as well). Where do I start? Is there a specific way for me to make the design?
How many pixels wide do I make the design? I don't want to spend time making it responsive, since I'm working ''pro-bono''.
I feel a bit helpless right here. :( Do you know any courses on Treehouse that might help me? I don't need to learn how to code for the moment, because as I've mentionned above, I have a programer to help me implement the design.

1024 x 768 was the most common display resolution at the time, so 960px naturally grew into the standard due to it's divisibility. It's still a very safe bet and there are a lot of CSS frameworks out there catering to 960px grids.
Others worth considering that share similar qualities could be 1080px, 1140px, etc. Good luck!
Edit: Taken from 960.gs "All modern monitors support at least 1024 × 768 pixel resolution. 960 is divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 20, 24, 30, 32, 40, 48, 60, 64, 80, 96, 120, 160, 192, 240, 320 and 480. This makes it a highly flexible base number to work with."
