PHP or Java?

I need help. Which one should I pick PHP or Java(JSP & Servlets) for web development? I know Java (OOP concepts etc but no jsp/servlets experience), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

or maybe should I learn both?

For What purpose are you learning one of those languages ?

If for Web Development then go for PHP

If for Powerful Web Apps the go for java, it offers some very powerful frameworks to build web apps!

If for programming in general, developing programs and sofwtare then go for Java.

IFFor Robotics 100% go for java, i dont think PHP is used for Robtics and Circuit Board Programming!

If for Object Orinted Programming (OOP) then go for Java or PHP Really dosent matter,but personally i think Java is more powerful!
