PHP - ASP.NET - Which is better at freelancing and why?

Are both PHP and ASP.NET good at freelancing?

Why - or Why not?

That depends on your focus. Seems like mainstream content management systems are geared to PHP and custom web applications are using .NET or RAILS. .NET is more likely to lead to higher paying work and less people know .NET so your more likely to get more too.
