1,555 PointsPhotoshop or Pixelmator to build websites?
Reading a couple of forums on line I noticed that some people were able to build webstie layouts in photoshop. To me this seems like it gives much more room for creativity and something to start with as a guide. I was wondering how they transform what they just made into code and also if this is possible using Pixelmator because that is the design software I have because photoshop is too expensive. I noticed the person doing this also mentioned Wireframe. Does anyone know what software that is and what it does?

15,805 PointsPixelmator is a very fine affordable piece of software and yes you can make awesome web site designs in it.

13,998 PointsI haven't personally looked at Pixelmator, however having used Photoshop for past 6 years in a commercial environment I am hooked on it. Adobe have made it more affordable now with their Creative Cloud (https://creative.adobe.com/plans) although still a high-ish price you would save a fair bit than buying it outright and you would also get free updates when new versions come out. You can lease (I think thats the correct term) a single app or get the full package (you save a bit of money on the full package if you were to get single apps over time). I personally have the Creative Cloud (full package subscription) at home and use CS6 at work. I think there is the option to try before you buy too.

9,758 PointsJust came across this post on the forum and feel identified with it since I use pixelmator too. Is supposed to be an easy tool and considering it's rapidly growing I guess it'll be nice if TeamTreehouse can build a crash course on it ;) that'll be really nice.
