5,030 PointsOops! It looks like Task 1 is no longer passing.
I keep getting this error, however when I go back to task 1 the import random module is there and imported correctly. I've changing the name of the variable in the loop from 'num' to 'rand_num', which shouldn't matter at all. I also check my indentation. I am just stumped on this one. Any help would be much appreciated
import random
start = 5
def even_odd(num):
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2
while 0 < start:
rand_num = random.randint(1, 99)
if even_odd(rand_num):
print("{} is even").format(rand_num)
else:
print("{} is odd").format(rand_num)
start -= 1

3,152 PointsFirst off, you can replace while 0 < start:
with while start:
, because when start
hits 0, it will be interpreted as false.
Second, the way you use parenthesis around format
is wrong. It's supposed to look like print('{} is even'.format(random_num))
