Oops, I forgot that I need to break out of the loop when the current item is the string "STOP". Help me add that code!

Hi i dont know what's wrong? Thanks

breaks.py
def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        print(item)
    if item == "STOP":
         break
    else:
         print(item)
    # Code goes here

Your if statment is outside for loop. Try this:

def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        print(item)
        if item == "STOP":
            break
        # Code goes here

Logically, you're telling the program to print everything in items and then you're telling it after the fact if the item=="STOP", then it should break. In sequence, you should add the exception to the rule "it item =="STOP: then you should tell the program what it should do if the item doesn't =="STOP". That way it will check each item to see if it =="STOP" then print if it doesn't. Think of it as a list that you have to follow the first rule before following the second.
