okay am i supposed to remove 5 or finished. or am i doing the wrong code?

i tried remove. (5) didint work and tried remove. (FINISH) please help im doing great in this cours and i love python (:

lists.py 
states = [
    'ACTIVE',
    ['red', 'green', 'blue'],
    'CANCELLED',
    'FINISHED',
    5,
]
states.remove ([FINISHED])

The correct answer is 

states.remove(5)

# OR
states.remove(states[-1])

Not sure why it didn't work for you.
