Courses Plus Student 467 Points(objective C) Can't figure out this simple array problem
I tried a ton of different things and it just won't work, i've tried just alloc and init, addObject, etc.
Heres what i did:
#import "UIViewController.h"
@interface ViewController : UIViewController
@property (strong, nonatomic) NSString *shoppingCart;
@property (strong, nonatomic) NSArray *shoppingList;
@end
#import "ViewController.h"
@implementation ViewController
- (void)viewDidLoad {
[super viewDidLoad];
self = [[NSArray alloc]initWithObjects: @"toothpaste",@"bread",@"eggs",nil];
}
@end

5,541 PointsHi Martin,
You're close. self
refers to the actual object that you are using, in this case, UIViewController
. So, you need to specify the property you need to access. It should look like this:
// shoppingList is a property of your ViewController (self)
self.shoppingList = [[NSArray alloc]initWithObjects: @"toothpaste",@"bread",@"eggs",nil];
Regards!
