6,043 PointsNPM@3 Beta install issues
I have a fresh install of Node on my machine and am trying to get the the npm@3 beta to work.
I follow the instructions in the npm blog using npm install -g npm@3.0-latest
and everything seems to go fine, I'm not given any errors. But then when I npm -v
it tells me I'm still on 2.14.2
Anyone know what silly mistake I'm making here?

26,544 Pointshi Robert,
sorry! i am not an expert.
but maybe you should tell your comp. where to find the new installed npm.
1. use your terminal:
$ npm root -g
my result is:
$ /usr/local/lib/node_modules
2. now you could point the path to it ( export PATH=....)
like i said, i am not an expert!
