15,099 PointsNot sure what's wrong with my even_odd script
Why does this not pass the challenge?
import random
start = 5
def even_odd(num):
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2
while start not 0:
numb = random.randint(1, 99)
if even_odd(numb):
print("{} is even".format(numb))
else:
print("{} is odd".format(numb))
start -= 1

Courses Plus Student 94,610 PointsHi Avery,
start not 0
is invalid syntax.
# You'd either need to do
while start > 0
# or
while start != 0

15,099 PointsOhhh ok. In times like these I wish I could actually see the error output. "Bummer, try again" isn't very helpful for spotting mistakes like this.

18,015 PointsIf you change
while start not 0:
to
while start > 0:
then you're good to go. It's just a syntax error. The rest of the code is super duper.
