I'm getting constant error stating"cannot find the symbol".
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
if(firstExample.equals(secondExample))
{
console.printf(" first is equal to second");
}
if (firstExample.equalsIngnoreCase(thirdExample))
{
console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}

3,960 PointsHey Mohan!
Simple mistake: you misspelled the "equalsIgnoreCase" method and instead wrote "equalsIngnoreCase".
Your code:
if (firstExample.equalsIngnoreCase(thirdExample))
{
console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}
Change it to:
if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(thirdExample))
{
console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}
Hope this helps! :-)
