2,869 PointsNot quite sure what to do, having troubles adding in the "IgnoreCase" to this code challenge
Please help, thank you in advance
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
if (firstExample == secondExample) {
console.printf("first is equal to second");
}
if (firstExample == thirdExample) {
console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}

10,503 PointsThe challenge is expecting you to use the [equalsIgnoreCase](http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/lang/String.html#equalsIgnoreCase(java.lang.String\)), as demonstrated in the video, for the second if statement's condition.

1,409 PointsAs Tomasz said, you should do something like this:
String example1 = "this is an example";
String example2 = "THIS IS AN EXAMPLE";
if (Example1.equalsIgnoreCase(Example2) {
console.printf("1 is equal to 2");
}
The if statement here would return true, because you are telling it to ignore the case (IgnoreCase
).
