not compiling.

not getting it. followed the syntax from web search.

Example.java
// I have initialized a java.io.Console for you. It is in a variable named console.
System.out.printf("Do you understand do while loops?");
String response = console.readLine();
//System.out.printf("Do you understand do while loops?");
//String response = console.readLine();

Hello!

Your problem is that "console.readLine()" expects a string as an argument. IE: "console.readLine("What is your favorite color? ");". Instead of printing out the string "Do you understand do while loops?", you should pass that string into the readLine function.
