There was no change to my preview after commenting out the .main-wrapper styles. The preview did not extend to the total width of my viewport. I have parsed the code and matched it to that of the video in the tut itself. My question lays in my dilemma.

4,111 PointsSure. Sorry. I felt that it may have been my own retardation that prohibited me from achieving the desired result and thusly didn't require anything further than "I'm an idiot" as an answer. Ha! That said, I am not sure if I missed it in the video, or if it was mistakenly omitted, but in order to ensure that the width of the main header is set to 100%. Correcting that resolved my issue and everything functioned as expected.
