3,684 PointsNewer PS
Hello everyone, it's said in the video that if I'm using a PC or an older version of PS things might slightly differ. What if I'm using a NEWER version? There's no "applications bar", no "analysis" or "3d" menus and it's quite confusing... I know there's documentation and stuff, but shouldn't the authors anticipate that a new version will eventually come out?
Thanks for your feedback!

image > analysis is where analysis is
and then from the adobe forums:
The Application Bar was intentionally removed. A majority of users told us they'd rather have the extra vertical space for their images than the Application Bar.
All of the commands are available elsewhere or can be access more easily with keyboard shortcuts:
Mini-bridge is accessible from the bottom panel (now a part of the default UI).
Cmd + Opt + o (Mac) Ctrl + Alt + o (Windows) to launch Bridge.
Show Guides: Cmd + ; (Mac) Ctrl + ; (Win) Show Grids: Cmd + ' (Mac) Ctrl + ' (Win) Show Rulers: Cmd + r (Mac) Ctrl + r (Win)
Zoom level can be controlled via keyboard shortcuts or UI found at the bottom of the document window.
You can access the arrange options under the Window>Arrange> menu
Screen mode has been added back to the bottom of the tool bar.
CS Live has been discontinued.
The authors can't anticipate every change from version to version of the different editing software. There's so many versions and so much different software and techniques used in the industry that the best they can do is try to generalize how things are done so that most people can figure out how to do it on their own setups. Searching through documentation and really learning to learn is somewhat of a critical skill in this industry. Once you can figure out how to solve those kind of questions for yourself you'll have a lot easier time and find you teach yourself more than anyone else can teach you. It's a bummer getting used to it, but once you do the possibilities are endless :). Hope this helps.

33,856 PointsThe application bar was removed in CS6 because users preferred the vertical space. More about that here.
You can find Analysis at the bottom of the Image menu and if you don't have 3D it may because you are not running the extended version.

3,684 PointsThanks a lot! I'm somewhat of a hotshot and trying to fight it, so whenever I see a problem that has multiple solutions to it, I kinda lose steam. I'm trying to fight it, though. ;) Thanks again!
