I am currently learning the Front End web development track and I mostly enjoy learning to code in the late afternoon early evening hours. From 4PM to 7PM.

For the longest time I've had the wrong perceptions on math. I had a math phobia. In the past I dislike math only because I had poor self image in my own abilities to master mathematics and I didn't have the motivation or support from my peers to enable me to be confident in mastering it.

Now my perception has changed. I like that doing math problems creates new neural pathways and expands cognitive capabilities in the brain.

I love the learning process and find joy in the challenge of it.

1. With a wife and two kids, learning to code as early in the morning as humanly possible is a must for me. My mind is fresh and coding in pre-dawn allows me to comprehend concepts just JS a little better.

Hi. I just got invited to be a Treehouse Forum moderator and so here I am. I hope y’all are staying safe and sane. It’s a pleasure to be aboard! I have been using Treehouse off-and-on since late 2017 and find the platform well-structured and easy to learn from. I really enjoy the video-quiz-video-code challenge, etc. format. I’m now up to nearly 28,000 points with 344 achievement badges so far. My strengths are Javascript, PHP, Python HTML, CSS, and SQL at the moment. (You can check out my profile here.)

Outside Treehouse, I like to play racquetball and the drums and can eat tacos 3 meals a day.

I recently discovered Resident Alien on the Sci-Fi channel and it is SOOOOOOOO funny!?!

As a side hustle, I am now the primary NorCal distributor/sales rep for Jeff's Famous Jerky - arguably the best beef, bacon, and turkey jerky in the world, with 23 flavors total, so far. Hit me up if you love jerky and want to know more.

One of my favorite fun projects was coding the classic Simon Game (admittedly, a wee bit eccentrically)!?!

And I also recently wrote a Python program to prove the Monty Hall Problem as seen in the movie 21.

I am NOT a morning person, so I do my best learning/coding in the afternoon and evenings.

Hey all,

It's not even Thursday here in Australia - it's lunchtime on Friday. We live in the future.

I'm making my way through the Front End Web Development track, but I'll hopefully get through the other streams over the course of the year. I'm squeezing in exercising when I can, in amongst work and other research commitments.

I have a non-technical background, with careers spanning politics, international relations, education, and scuba diving. I've recently started teaching Interaction Design courses at the University of Queensland, in prep for a PhD in ICT4D (Information and Communication Technologies for Development). My interest is in how we design technologies for developing, non-Western communities in ways that respect local customs and cultures. I have an interest in marine and coastal communities, so hopefully one day I'll be looking into how we can develop new technologies and systems for marine conservation that don't - you know - act as a form of neocolonialism.

I've got a social science background, and while interaction design / human-computer interaction doesn't really require me to be a overly proficient coder...I'd like to be.

I code at night and on weekends. I like weekends because I can take my time and don't feel as crammed with other obligations. I usually take the day on Saturday to focus solely on treehouse/coding. LinkedIn - feel free to connect I recently finished Unit 6, and am hosting my personal site on heroku now. If anyone knows the easiest way to connect all my demos to the site, that'd be lovely. (Right now the demo links don't work, but they did before when I was hosting via github directly) - I'm wondering if there's a better way to wrap it all together without merging all the repos manually into one large repo for the site.
