Tristan Cole
Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 1,310 PointsHello everyone. My name is Tristan and I'm boxfresh to Treehouse and am taking the FullStack JS program. I really like a metalic turquoise but this was very difficult to approximate via hex color codes, so the closest I could find is: 6FD8D9.
I've worked in 23 countries around the world and my last gig was with the UN based in Germany. I'm back in Canada now and just started my own consulting business. I love the mountains and all things that grow especially trees and plants. I'm also into painting Warhammer, playing strategy games, English tea, baking, and watching movies that are so bad they are amazing.
I just got my level 1 Beekeeping Certificate, and decided to take the FS JS course to diversify my skillset. My LI page is - https://www.linkedin.com/in/tristan-cole/
Looking forward to connecting with you as the course progresses.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 2,240 PointsGreetings Sara! I agree, Animal Crossing is a great motivator. Designing my island has been my favorite part of the game and seeing what other people create and share is so inspiring. I checked out your link and wow! Your travel island project is amazing! Basing projects on the things we enjoy and love really helps to keep us moving forward.

Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Graduate 25,529 PointsHello Everyone
I am Daniel. I am a Senior Software Developer at a Company in Denmark where I work in a "core" team that develops central systems, automation of internal workflows with Powershell, central component that is shared(Made in .NET/C#) between departments, build systems, Azure component development, automated deployment(CI/CD), Research of new Technology and Arkitektur. In other words; we are nerds that love learning new technology, write a lot and push the limits. That also means we work too many hours...
I don't have anything fancy to show as everything is in the back, which is one of the reasons I have signed up for a JS full-stack tech degree. I wish to be able to work on projects that also have some sort of visual layer and the company I work for just decided to use React. I didn't have much time to study the last few months, but next week is time to pushing.
I love meeting new people, and especially people who wish to create new projects. I am looking into starting a private project that could either become something fun to work on or a project that could become a company. Apart from being addicted to learning... I love playing games when I need to relax or traveling with my girlfriend.
I love the color #D82B00

7,444 PointsHi! I'm Key and I am new to coding. I've been working on HTML, CSS and Javascript but I am about to start Java as a part of a Android developer program that I am thoroughly enjoying. I love all forms of purple so I chose a lavender for my color #E6E6FA. I love to supplement what I am learning here with various sources and LinkedIn learning is one of my favorites (other than W3Schools and StackOverflow, we can't live without those!). Here is a nice real life example of for loops that I thought was neat! https://www.linkedin.com/learning-login/share?forceAccount=false&redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Flearning%2Fprogramming-foundations-real-world-examples%3Ftrk%3Dshare_ent_url%26shareId%3DFs2EGQ61TrC%252F85nTIB5G4A%253D%253D

Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 2,240 PointsGreetings from sunny Florida! I'm Erika and I am on the FEWD journey. I started a little over a month ago. I am working towards changing my career from librarian to FEWD. I am pressing my way through Unit 2 of the program and currently learning CSS, and doing the 100 Days of Code challenge. One of my favorite colors is gray (or is it grey?) so #778899 looked awesome to me today. I have a variety of hobbies that I enjoy besides learning new things. I enjoy running, yoga, spending time with my dog Jubilee (you can see her pretty face in my profile picture), reading (my favorite genres are Sci-Fi, Fantasy and manga), helping out at my church, playing Animal Crossing New Horizons, watching Disney movies, coloring, and building LEGO sets. I also enjoy listening to motivational speakers to help keep me going. I'm currently listening to Eric Thomas, Inky Johnson, Les Brown and Team Fearless. This is my LinkedIn and Twitter. Nice to meet you all and thank you for sharing your stories!

I'm Sarah. I'm an academic at heart. A habitual student learning and improving my metacognition. Also, I am interested in improving my understanding of computer science. Data structures and algorithms across multiple programming languages enthralls me.

I am currently working on my first project which is building a portfolio website of all current and future projects. See my linkedin profile for more information.
I'm so thrilled to start sharing more of myself and documenting my journey with all of you.
For the longest time I've had the wrong perceptions on math. I had a math phobia. In the past I dislike math only because I had poor self image in my own abilities to master mathematics and I didn't have the motivation or support from my peers to enable me to be confident in mastering it.
Now my perception has changed. I like that doing math problems creates new neural pathways and expands cognitive capabilities in the brain.
I love the learning process and find joy in the challenge of it.
Mel Rumsey
Treehouse ModeratorHey Treehousers! My name is Mel and I am a Student Success Specialist for the Python TechDegree :) My favorite color is right around hex color code: #ff7a5c Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn :) I am currently working on expanding my Python knowledge as well as working on an RPG made with C# and Unity in my free time. Now that the weather is nice, I love being outdoors! Kayaking, hiking, biking, camping, and tubing are my favorite.
I look forward to hearing about what you all are working on and enjoy doing in your free time :)
Sara Masek
Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 11,513 PointsHi Mel, just wanted to say I'm so impressed you're working on an RPG in Unity - I worked with Unity for a couple of years in college and it was always so confusing for me since there's so many components that have to fit together! Even the small-scope games we worked on would always have bugs that seemed impossible to work through. Kudos and good luck!
