  1. Answer the icebreaker activity –

print("What is Syntax? Wrong answers only! 👀")

  2. Share your LinkedIn profile URL for other students to connect to.

  3. Share links and/or screenshots of the projects you've been working on.

  4. Share your interests, hobbies, etc!

  5. Chat with other students here by responding to their posts!

Make those connections, support each other, leave some endorsements/recommendations on other student's LinkedIn profiles, lend a helping hand to folx in search of work in tech, and give some positive feedback on fellow student's projects. We're all on this learning journey together!

I'll kick things off! 💬

I'm Ryan Mouser, the Content & Community Marketing Specialist here at Treehouse. My pronouns are he/him. I was 15 years old when I started learning to code in PHP for a popular text-based MMORPG game. I've been with Treehouse for over 2 years now and have had the amazing opportunity to wear many different hats. I've been learning with Treehouse since 2015 (you can check out my previous profile here).

Currently, I'm working alongside our world-class team on some exciting opportunities to bring the Treehouse Community closer together. Stay tuned! 😀

Outside of Treehouse, I have the joy of living life with my incredible wife, our 3 awesome kids, and our 2 cat furbabies. We love to make music, garden, cook, play games, and watch fun TV.

You can connect with me on LinkedIn here. Looking forward to connecting with y'all!

Hoping you all stay safe, healthy, and well!

Hi!

Hmmm...Syntax is a condition in which you always have to lookup the most basic of concepts because they're so easily forgettable.

My name's Clara, I work in market research with building product manufacturers. I started my Python journey in 2018, hoping to build a couple projects and maybe transition careers. I struggled learning entirely on my own, so I'm glad to have found Treehouse (and the coding bootcamp in my city that uses this platform for teaching!). I love to learn and build things, my favorite thing I've built so far is a small database for some publicly available economic data that was updated monthly with a Python script and stored in a PosgrteSQL database. The script to clean and update the database is on my github. I'm eager to explore other development projects and hopefully transition my career! My LinkedIn is here.

I like to read, hang out with my husband and my dog (Thor), eat good food, be out in nature (when it's warm!), and play video games. I will occasionally pick up the ukulele to play some music but my husband is the musician in our family. When there's not a pandemic I also enjoy spending time with family and friends as much as possible.

Looking forward to connecting with you all!

Hi! I also learn Python and other related subjects which include pandas and numpy (relevant and helpful for data science works).

Wow here it's me a bit late to the party. Unfortunatelly, I have totally overlooked Thursday. My name is Sotiris, I am trying to jump start my tech-career as soon as possible. I have used a variety of languages so far. At the moment I am looking into becoming a full stack engineer. Of course, I am open to discuss material or revise content and even hang out. My linkedIn and github feel free to connect. My hobbies are watching a couple of series and movies, working out abit with weights and playing video games mainly rocket league and dota 2.

hi, im omu , aspiring backend engineer currently studying python/django, as fo the icebreaker activity syntax is the tax you pay for merely existing as a developer lol. ive really been missing out on networking thursdays, for the past three weeks ive been wanting to participate but i kept forgetting, thankfully, not today haha. i know networking is very important in this field and very helpful for when one is in search of a job and id love to connect with as many of you as possible! here's my linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/omu-inetimi-a51747185/ i also created a slack workspace to make it easier for us to network and find help while working through our course work, so feel free to join! it'd really make it alot easier to chat and foster networking and will definetly be a supplement to networking thursdays https://join.slack.com/t/treehousenetworking/shared_invite/zt-pl27mokx-0IQknaFpTwBNbQBAuTjI~g my hobbies are watching cartoons(teen titans go , regularshow etc) ,a bit of anime/making AMV's, playing chess, playing videogames and testing out new apps/startups, coding as well could be one of them haha

Hey hey! I started Python outside Treehouse but have dabbled in a couple courses on here. What have you liked about Python so far? I certainly hear you on forgetting to join in, but lucky for both of us we remembered this week😁

Sorry Guys,

Due to work i am bit to tired to attend. I have been sleeping half way during most of the evening. Right now i am not good at keeping my attention to technical stuff. I'll attend at a more appropriate time when levels of fitness are on par with wat is needed to attend properly.

Hi Everyone!

Syntax is what makes my brain break everytime i try to create a program that uses ints lol. I am currently employed as a Project Manager, but I'm very interested in programming and i have loved learning Python as my fist language using this site. I'm pretty new to the world of coding, but the more I learn the more I love it.

My dream is to get a job as a coder/python engineer one day. if you want to connect my linked in is: https://www.linkedin.com/in/davey-jones-69105320a

Hello guys, I am so late to last week event, but anyway

  1. print("What is Syntax? Wrong answers only! 👀")

Well, it is what trips me every time my program compiles. Have to train my eyes on every character on screen to double or even triple check.

  1. I'd love to connect with new fellow Treehouse students. Here is me; come and say hello!

  2. I've been studying up on GCP (don't want to spoil it so do a quick search on that). You can see it here.

  3. I love writing. Check out my samples. I just finished reading Ready Player One, which was suggested by a fellow Treehouse student. I promise you will get to the end in no time; it's that good!

See ya!
