I'm Clinton, an American expat currently living in South Korea...and missing home like crazy during this holiday season.

My current learning goal is to complete the FSJS Techdegree. I'm hoping the added backend skills will help me market myself a little more effectively...and I'm really finding that I enjoy the backend process a lot! After that it's off to some data analysis learning. I feel like my overarching goal is to learn forever. :D

I really enjoy all things tech, booze, and gaming. I'm a big board game and tabletop RPG fan. But, with work and studying my video game and board game habits have really taken a hit. Haha. Thanks to the pandemic, though, I've really been able to dive into my newest hobby; mixology!

Hi, my name is Manny Reimi, I am originally from Venezuela but after studying economics in California, I have been living in Hong Kong for almost a decade now. My goal is to build blockchain-enabled applications.

For 7 years, I was a freelance branding consultant and copywriter, but after my first son was born, I went for full-time employment and found a niche as a growth hacker / product marketing manager, which I have done for the past 2 years. Having worked in both AI and Crypto/Blockchain, I have to admit I started feeling like I should be building the apps and websites I had been around for so long and enrolled in the Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree with the express goal of transitioning to a more hands-on role.

Treehouse is quite addictive, so after this, I am planning to do the Python Techdegree and possibly the UX Designer one as well. Professionally, I am working towards coding smart contracts for decentralized finance (DeFi) which requires me to learn languages like Solidity and frameworks like Vyper which are based on JavaScript and Python, albeit they're statically typed. Smart Contracts are great, but an elegant front-end and a great UX experience are crucial if people (particularly in developing countries) are going to ditch cash or their bank accounts and use these apps to earn all the advantages of trustless, programmable, non-debasing money!
