3,818 PointsNeed help with basic functions challenge
Hi guy, I'm stuck on this challenge at the moment. I'm pretty sure it's a syntax issue but I cant find a workaround in the Swift Documents. If you can see something I can't some help would be really appreciated. Thanks
// Enter your code below
func coordinates (for location: String) -> (Double, Double) {
switch location {
case "Eiffel Tower": (48.8582, 2.2945)
case "Great Pyramid": (29.9792, 31.1344)
case "Sydney Opera House": (33.8587, 151.2140)
default: (0,0)
}
}

439 PointsHey David, it is indeed a simple syntax error. You forgot to return the coordinates in the body of your switch statement. Try this and it should work:
func coordinates (for location: String) -> (Double, Double) {
switch location {
case "Eiffel Tower":
return (48.8582, 2.2945)
case "Great Pyramid":
return (29.9792, 31.1344)
case "Sydney Opera House":
return (33.8587, 151.2140)
default:
return (0,0)
}
}
