Hi, i have created my first self driven project for my portfolio, and needed feedback so that i can improve further.
it is basically a site for a bakery shop where people can order bakery stuff easily.

The drop shadows you applied to some of the elements are a bit too strong. Perhaps reduce the opacity somewhat.

I agree with Hazels comments about the call to action buttons on your page. I would extend that to active nav items as well. It becomes evident when you invert the colors, like this: http://bit.ly/1HwCUqn and http://bit.ly/1HwD0OP
The same could be said for the subscribe button.
One of the things that had the greatest impacts on my designs was the concept of vertical rhythm. If you haven't already checked it out, may I recommend a couple of articles?

Keep up the great work!!
