500 PointsBusiness is mostly driven by relationships not legal documents. Is relationship is non-existent or goes south, NDA can't save you.
NDA is only useful for
- saving you from outright fraud and negligence.
- finding serious partners, customers and business associates.
If someone listens to you and seems interested, ask'em to sign NDA. Time it takes to sign NDA is inversely proportional to their need and seriousness.
