For the nav link part of this challenge, your code should look something like this:

nav a {
    font-weight: 800;
    padding: #px #px;
}

But replace the #s with the desired padding [I forgot the specific question] the first # should be top/bottom.

i did that but the challenge won't let me pass.......

Ok - I'll do it through each step in case I was confused as to where it was failing on you:

Step 1:

nav ul {
  margin: 0 10px;
}

Step 2:

nav ul {
  margin: 0 10px;
  padding: 0;
  list-style-type: none;
}

Step 3:

nav ul {
  margin: 0 10px;
  padding: 0;
  list-style-type: none;
}

nav li {
  display: inline-block;
}

Step 4:

nav ul {
  margin: 0 10px;
  padding: 0;
  list-style-type: none;
}

nav li {
  display: inline-block;
}

nav a {
  font-weight: 800;
  padding: 15px 10px
}
