3,558 PointsThe challenge tells you to create this nav after the anchor element and you are creating it inside the anchor element.
This is the correct one:
<header>
<a href="index.html">
<h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
<h2>Designer</h2>
</a>
<nav>
<ul>
<li>Portfolio</li>
<li>About</li>
<li>Contact</li>
</ul>
</nav>
</header>

14,268 PointsThe challenge wants you to add the nav element and unordered list underneath the "logo" (the h1 and h2 that are wrapped in a link < a >). Yours is inside the < a > tag.
Rob Brink
7,148 PointsYou need to add the nav element after the link instead of inside it like this
<header>
<a href="index.html">
<h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
<h2>Designer</h2>
</a>
<nav>
<ul>
</ul>
</nav>
</header>
