mysql2 gem not found for rake db:create

I can't really figure out why the mysql2 gem can't be found. " gem 'mysql2' " is in the Gemfile for the project. I have tried " gem install mysql2 " and " bundle install " but am getting errors. Any advice?

Info: Windows 8.1, using Git Bash

First advice: if you have errors paste them into your post, so we could better understand their origin

[EDIT] Mis-read the first post. Giving the error would really help. Probably has to due with some library settings or somesuch. Typically professional programmers do this:

1) Copy the most unique part of the error that doesn't have info about your system in it 2) Paste it into google 3) Find some blog post or stackoverflow post where someone solved the same problem 4) Follow their instructions and maybe it works, maybe it doesn't 5) If it doesn't, rinse and repeat ;)
