// I have imported java.io.Console for you. It is a variable called console.
String camel-cased = console.readLine("first name");

Even if your syntax were valid the challenge is asking you for a variable that is named the camel-cased version of "first name"
It's not asking for a variable named camel-cased
. It's asking for a variable named first name
in the camel case style. Camel case starts with lower case and then each successive word is joined without a space with its first letter being a capital. Here are some examples of camel case variables:
janesCoffeeShop
bigCar
sleepyOldNymph
aVeryLongVariableThatNoOneWouldWantToEverSeeInAnyonesCodePleaseOhNoWhyDidYouDoThis
So if we want to camel case first name
we would end up with firstName
By the way, hyphens in variable names are not valid syntax in Java.
Cheers and good luck
