My simple letter application doesn't work with the color "purple" or "purplX" where X = any letter.

Hi,

I simply cannot seem to figure out how to get my code to work for the color "purple" or "purpla" as I have it on my list. I solve the word, but the "You solved it.." doesn't show up. When I input other colors like "black" or "brown" into the list, it functions. Any ideas why this is occurring?

The problem is occurs, I believe, because purple has two P's in it. However, you are only appending 1 P to your good_guesses list, and then later comparing the length of your good_guesses list to list('purple'), which is comparing a list of length 5 to a list of length 6, if that makes sense. I noticed this as well as I was following along with this lesson. I am fairly sure that Kennith alters the code in subsequent videos such that this is no longer an issue. Hope that helps!

That makes sense, yeah I should have just waited to finish off Python Basics as Kenneth does get into some of these issues. Thanks for your response!
