8,224 PointsMy question of the day is, is this course useful as supplementation for thee' Android course?
info:
Pretty much what the title says. It's quite easy str8 forward course, but it's still a time investments. So I'm wondering if it's smart-ish doing this for learning to do Android apps, eventually.
I have some programming background, but I haven't really quite worked in Java before

If you're already comfortable programming in Java, then you'll probably be alright if you skip it. But, I would recommend it -- as you haven't really worked in Java before.
The Java course was formerly part of the Android development track, but it has been spun off into it's own track.
Java is my main language, and the course was mostly a review for me, but I did learn a few new things from it.
It would certainly be worth the time investment IMO.
Happy Coding!

19,573 PointsJava's a pretty core language. I see stuff posted on job boards for Java all the time..
Also see alot of stuff for J2EE (http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/J/J2EE.html)

8,224 PointsThanks! No, I'm not comfortable programming in Java yet because I'm based in other languages as of now and I think being strong in Java may require actual time spent coding Java and learning nuances in it)
