HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Create Navigation with Lists

My <nav> is directly after the link in the header.. not sure why it's saying its not?

is this because the link is inside (also known as nested) the nav rather than after it?

suggestion:

  <a href="index.html">
    <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
    <h2>Designer</h2>
  </a>
  <nav>
    <ul>    
    </ul>
  </nav>

Yes.. i had to put the <nav> tag after the closing of the link.
