My issue

I am not understanding where my issue is here?

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white" sundaes = available.split(';') menu = ', '.join(sundaes) display_menu = "Our available flavors are: {}".format(menu)

banana.py 
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = ', '.join(sundaes)
display_menu = "Our available flavors are: {}".format(menu)

You're very very close and actually there's nothing wrong with your code at all. It's just that you have the variable names menu and display_menu mixed up. The challenge wants your third line to be called display_menu, and your final line to be called menu.

YOU ARE SO CLOSE!!

sundaes = available.split(';')

display_menu = ', '.join(sundaes) #you wrongly name the variable!

menu = "Our available flavors are: {}".format(display_menu)
