Android

My emulator does not display the words "hello world" as in the example

The emulator is launched but I don't get a flashing green light, only the Android symbol.

This is the error message I get:

DEVICE SHELL COMMAND: pm install -r "/data/local/tmp/com.smcook.funfacts" Error: Could not access the Package Manager. Is the system running?

I think either the emulator file is corrupt, or it hasn't started for you. Native android emulator is quite slow and needs a little bit of tweaking to run at decent speeds. I suggest you use Genymotion. It is much faster and worth having an extra emulator.
