Courses Plus Student 6,364 PointsMy embed image option is not highlighted so I can't select it. What's wrong?
While placing my artwork onto my artboard, I try to follow the procedure to link the image but I am unable to embed the image, because it isn't enabled for me to use it. Why is this option not enabled?

12,269 PointsIf you're having problems linking the image I'd try just cut/copy it into your document.
Do this by opening your image in Illustrator, select it and cut or copy into your new document.
Also on a mac, not sure if this works on windows, you could drag the image into document directly into a open layer from wherever you have it. Note: if you change the location of your image you'll get a prompt that can't find it ask to replace or relink.

6,536 PointsI know when I went to file, and then open instead of using place option, my image was already imbedded. You might try that.

10,985 PointsIf you are having issues embedding the image re-link the image to the source. Then you should be able to embed the image.
