what am i doing wrong here?
import random
start = 5
def even_odd(num):
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2
while start!=0:
num=random.randint(1,99)
if even_odd(num):
print("{} is even.".format(num))
else:
print("{} is odd.".format(num))
start-=1

20,864 PointsYour code is right, you just missed the indentations for the while loop. So your code has to look like this:
import random
start = 5
def even_odd(num):
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2
while start!=0:
num=random.randint(1,99)
if even_odd(num):
print("{} is even.".format(num))
else:
print("{} is odd.".format(num))
start-=1

17,796 Pointsthat is a perfect explanation Christof
because the start variable is outside the while loop, the loop will stuggle to count down to zero
that is why it says "looks like Task 1 is no longer passing". its simply asking you to give it a counting variable
hope that helped you Dylan
