my code is compiling outside of this quiz

Hello,

I've attached my code from the quiz, which is compiling outside of this web based code editor.

I'm having trouble understanding what the issue is.

David

structs.swift
struct Tag {
  let name: String

  init()
  {
  name = "swift"
  }
}

struct Post {
let title: String
let author: String
let tag : Tag

 init() {
        title = "iOSDevelopment"
        author = "Apple"
        tag = Tag()
    }

    func description() -> String {
    return "\(self.title) by \(self.author). Filed under \(self.tag.name)"
    }
}

let firstPost = Post()
let postDescription: String = firstPost.description()

Hi David,

Your code, whilst technically correct and compiling in Xcode, is not doing what the code challenge is asking you to do.

Step 1:

struct Post {
  let title: String
  let author: String
  let tag: Tag
}

let firstPost = Post(title: "iOS Development", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "Swift"))

Step 2:

struct Post {
  let title: String
  let author: String
  let tag: Tag

  func description() -> String {
    return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag.name)"
  }
}

let firstPost = Post(title: "iOS Development", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "Swift"))
let postDescription = firstPost.description()

It appears that your solution to step 1 is the culprit.

I recommend coming back to this code challenge, perhaps tomorrow just to make sure you fully grasp the topic.

All the best,

Mitch
