2,627 PointsMy code for Robot works in playground but not in the editor
I've created the Robot sub class and tried & tested the code by declaring an instance of Robot in the playground. The values of x and y increment and decrement correctly when the relevant argument is sent eg: let newRobot = Robot() newRobot.move("up") print (newRobot.location.y) gives an answer of 1. But in the editor I get this error - :Double check your implementation for the up direction and make sure the location's y property increases by 1!
Please help!! Thankyou.
class Point {
var x: Int
var y: Int
init(x: Int, y: Int){
self.x = x
self.y = y
}
}
class Machine {
var location: Point
init() {
self.location = Point(x: 0, y: 0)
}
func move(direction: String) {
print("Do nothing! I am a machine!")
}
}
// Enter your code below
class Robot: Machine {
override func move(direction: String) {
switch direction{
case "up":
self.location.y += 1
case "down":
self.location.y -= 1
case "left":
self.location.x -= 1
case "right":
self.location.x += 1
default: break
}
}
}

71,830 PointsStuart, so close!! The Strings Up, Down, Left and Right in your switch statement need to be capitalized.
