i don't know why the code isn't running it just keeps throwing error

sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}".format(display_menu)
display_menu = ["banana", "hot fudge", "cherry", "malted", "black and white"]

Treehouse TeacherSeems like you are trying to use display_menu before you set it.
Let me know if that doesn't do the trick ;)
