2,824 PointsMy background is not turning red. Is this not the right syntax inside my function?
How do I turn my background red when i click the 'Make It Red' button within my function?
var warning = document.getElementById("warning");
var button = document.querySelector('#makeItRed');
button.addEventListener('click', () => {
warning.backGround.color = 'red'
})

5,365 PointsIn app.js change your code from this
var warning = document.getElementById("warning");
var button = document.querySelector('#makeItRed');
button.addEventListener('click', () => {
warning.backGround.color = 'red'
})
To this:
var warning = document.getElementById("warning");
var button = document.querySelector('#makeItRed');
button.addEventListener('click', () => {
warning.style.backgroundColor = `red`;
})

14,273 PointsThis was helpful. Little rusty so for some reason I made a similar mistake. I thought it was odd though, even after correcting it wouldn't go through, but it would after I switched from getElementById to querySelector for the button.
