My app doesn't show load on the emulator. Help!

I've been waiting for about an hour, but my app doesn't show load on the emulator.

Hello,

If you're stuck at either a black screen or a screen with the word Android, you've ran into a common problem with the default emulator. You have two options:

1) Use HAXM if you have a compatible Intel CPU. Instructions for installing HAXM on Windows can be found here.

2) Use Genymotion, which is available here.
