That function is for round the number to the top integer.

Python Web Development Techdegree Student 38,322 PointsHere is the challenge: "For this Code Challenge you need to use JavaScript's Math methods. Open an alert dialog and display the temperature variable rounded to the nearest integer."
And the Math.round() does the job and pass the challenge.
About your statement "That function is for round the number to the top integer" - Try have a look at the documentation which says "The Math.round() function returns the value of a number rounded to the nearest integer." ;-)
