Hello, my attached code just works fine, and spits out the correct data, unfortunately it does not validates as correct,.... hmmmmm .. help team treehouse?

The key is in the error message. It says that you should not modify the output, however, you have taken out the newline characters ("\n") at the end of each list item. You will need to add those newlines back in, and don't forget that you will need to use double quotes rather than singles in order to interpret an escaped character in PHP.
