Databases Mongo Basics Getting Started With MongoDB Setting Up MongoDB

Mongo installation error

Hi! Good day. I can't install mongo in my pc, it keeps throwing me this error:

The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I tried reinstalling it but it still throws me that error. Please help.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for giving me this link. I followed all of the ways it told me to do but I still have that problem, I don't know why it did not fix it. Maybe I did something on my laptop unconsciously before that led me to this problem.

If you're using windows, I actually found that installing Mongo as a service is a lot easier to deal with than the methods described by Treehouse.
