Mobile-First To Be or Not To Be?

When developing a website, do you go mobile-first or focus on it just being responsive/fluid and build a mobile app for iPhone/Android?

I think that it varies based on personal practice of developers/designers on this subject. But I think we can see that the Mobile-First is becoming a trend especially in front-end frameworks.Both Zurb - maker of Foundation and creators of Twitter Bootstrap have made announcements that their newest versions will be Mobile-First focused. Also because mobile is becoming more and more important in advertisement I believe the trend will be growing.

As for myself I think that if app wouldn't be giving any extra possibilities for user than normal responsive site would give I would go for using just responsive site.

Do you have any stats to base it on? If you have an existing site and see a lot of mobile traffic, then you definitely want to make it a higher priority to give a good user experience on mobile. As much as I love apps, I'd rather have a good mobile website first as opposed to a full site paired with apps.
