2,282 PointsMissing Sites Folder on Mac OS X Yosemite for Customizing Location for Storing Files
Hello! I was wondering if there was a special configuration process for setting up the missing Sites Folder in Mac OS X Yosemite that is usually located inside the Home folder? Is it appropriate to just make a new folder inside the Home folder and name it Sites, or is there a special process for configuring this folder to make it work with MAMP? :)

2,282 PointsHi Gerardo! Thanks, I got it :) Created the Sites folder inside the Home folder and it automatically appeared as a user folder with the sites icon. I'll be able to configure it with MAMP to target the new location. Thanks for the reply! :)

42,674 PointsHello Andi Lanuza,
You can create the sites folder inside the home folder then have mamp to target the sites folder instead of the htdocs folder. I'll recommend watching this course on how to configure mamp for wordpress or any programming language http://teamtreehouse.com/library/local-wordpress-development
Hope this helps.
