11,747 Pointsminiconda vs anaconda
I know I'm a curious cat today :)
This question is related to another one I've posted, Anaconda Navigator for Linux Mint
I have anaconda. I don't have anaconda navigator (far as I know -- if I have it I don't know how to launch it).
Basically I don't know if I'm actively using anaconda. I use Atom; I have PyCharm and Jupyter Notebooks. Should I consider uninstalling anaconda and installing miniconda?
Or, if it ain't broken, don't fix it? My whole objective is just to educate myself on what's available, without going overboard.

2,468 PointsPersonally I'd leave it alone and stick with what you've got already. Anaconda is a full distribution of the central software and includes Python itself along with the binaries for several hundred third-party open-source projects. Miniconda is essentially an installer for an empty conda environment, containing only Conda, its dependencies, and Python.
